Warm Fuzzy

Is that what we expect when we tell god use me. Are we willing to serve when its not fun or rewarding or appreciated, maybe uncomfortable and looks hopeless ?
Nothing is impossible for God to those who believe. Do we serve only when we see rewards or recognition, some sort of payback, that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you do something good and it feels good.. I am reading tortured for Christ and how amazing to see that no matter what kind of torture, even death, there are christians who will not stop stepping up, Glorifying Christ and sharing the gospel message and loving there captors. Its that question could I ? Would I ? Lord so fill me with the Holy Spirit that I can confidently answer yes I will stand For you, to glorify you and share the gospel message in any circumstance..

Tortured for Christ

A book Im reading and I qoute... "the very truth to which we bear witness comes at a great cost- it can cost us our reputation, popularity, and prestige. It may even cost us our families, friends, or our lives. But the message of our witness is so powerful that we are exhorted to lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, in order to run with endurance the "race"that god has set before us in our life".
The message of Christ's witness is also not confined to physical borders or limitations.

Moved to tears and action...........

Well God

where do you start. Maybe its just help where you can , be a friend and leave the rest to God ? Its been some time since I was in the presence of someone who was so caught up in addiction and gambling and I guess just worldly and sinful things with absolutely no thought of anything except their own selfish desires... But for the Grace of God there go I .. Ouch! Please pray this is really not a nice place to be and not something I like in my own home...

Gone Fishin

What a message we recieved Sunday ! How are your fishin skills ? What kind of bait do you use ? what is a bad day fishin ? Do you catch and release , or do you keep and clean and make the fish you catch useful ? I recently caught a few fish, all three were quite messy and cleaning was not going to be an easy job, God prompted me I will seek him as to what my part will be in cleaning them. The first fish was washed with some fresh clean water and the mess seemed to start to clean away without a lot of work. The second fish however has a pretty tough skin and has been up many rivers that tossed it about and it is battered and bruised, may have to soak this fish in some fresh crisp water. The third fish needs just a little TLC and it should be Ok. I have gone fishin this week and as we all know fishing is rewarding, now I need a little relaxing. The catch is just the beginning with a little Love and a lot of God all three of these fish will be released.....God help me so I dont eat them !

Visit prison in an envelope

I have been part of the prison pen pal ministry since 2003. I have written a woman who was released after almost 2 years of correspondence never to hear from her again. At the present time I write to 3 woman on death row, Three woman who are in prison for some of the most horrible crimes I know of. My God speaks to my heart and says they are sinners, hate the sin love the sinner. I also write a woman who will be released in less than a year. I have a family member and now a friend who just recently went back or will be needing mail in prison. I was taught certain things about writing to strangers in prison that doesnt apply to those we know, but we need to have the correct info before writing anyone incarcerated for numerous reasons. If anyone wishes I have pamphlets and a dvd with great info for those who wish to serve. I have been so blessed by this ministry I hope some of you feel called to join the ministry..

Commandment 6 thou shall not murder

There are no ifs in this commandment, no excuses and no exceptions. God did not give excuses for why you could commit such an act. I have seen people able to walk in forgiveness for horrible murders and asked If someone killed my child would I, could I forgive ? There is nothing, not a long prison sentence, not even a death sentence that will bring back a loved one that is murdered. Sticks and stones will break your bones but words will never hurt you rings in my ears , I know this isnt true to a point but literally being called a name is a sad excuse for the taking of a life, in fact it is the most pathetic thing I have ever heard. Think if we were able to act this way how many times would you be dead already ? I would have died a thousand deaths.... I can only grasp at the commandments and the promise from God that says vengeance is mine saith the Lord I WILL REPAY..

Learning (had to change the title)

Yesterday I shared the wonderful news of going behind the veil. I never knew about the tabernacle and as I learned of it and was led farther and farther in my relationship with Christ, I looked at my stats and no one read my blog, how sad for you, Jesus and I partied in a way we never had. I dont get to graduate or finish this lesson until Jesus returns, how awesome that each day if we choose we can have a new experience and learn and grow more in the faith. Mark 6 is ringing in my ears.

Jesus whispers it was a great party and it was for ME..........
