May the circle be unbroken.

As I think back over the last 48 hours and ahead to Easter I fall to my knees. Lord you have stayed true to your word, more than I could think or imagine. I am going to share with you some things that are not to appealing about my past. One Easter sunday at the catholic church in Canton SD I robbed the church, right after the offering, I was maybe 13 years old. I watched the altar boys and as they left the room where they had placed the days offering I entered and took everything, I went to the car, took out the cash and placed the bank bag and checks under the back seat. It was sometime before I was caught. My sister sold the car to Carrol Johnson who started restoring it and he found the bank bag. By the way he was a lincoln county sheriff. It has taken decades for me to find the ability to forgive myself, For years I tried all kinds of works on Easter to repay God for what I had done. The other day I was asked to join a womans Bible study in Canton, I was afraid ! As we entered and I met the woman there I knew some of them, one the mother of a close friend another the mother of a young lady who taught me to swim, I almost drown her, she was also a friend of my oldest sister. The other faces had I shared much would have figured out who I used to be ! Blessings and Love and acceptance were all I experienced that day with the Holy Spirit power filling the room. My God is all he promises and I on bended knee give him all praise and Glory for this new creature in Christ. AMEN
