The woodchuck
He is a very young chap
Hour after hour he chisels away
At times the larger wood becomes swords and daggers
Some find him annoying
I am amused and amazed
His concentration and passion
Breaking the silence of the shore and the sound of the water slapping the bank

Each day I am amazed at how much one can learn
Heart eyes and ears
Senses come to life
So much teaching all around
The master touch of the fisherman
The healing touch of the king
The love of a father for All his children, no strings attached

Trail of Tears
Hearts breaking
Prayers for lives changing
Thunder and lightning
raging winds and torrential rains
Gods protection can be seen
Questions asked by those who feel forsaken
Yet though we feel forgotten
We trust and believe the promises
The son sends us to his word
His protection and comfort never ceasing
The book opens freely
The words are ever speaking
What is it we are seeking ?

Who is that trip trapping across my bridge ?
