Trust and Obey

After an eve on the ice, prayed, trusted God, arrived safely and have had a peaceful day today . The roads are a lot better, there were so many cars in the ditch and wrecked cars one has to ask what are they using on the roads ? I have never seen ice like that on the highway for sure. I know times are tough but there are things that cannot be skimped on. Which has brought me to something I cannot skimp on and that is spending time in the word. because of the life I have lived it is essential for my well being and those around me that I spend time in the word each day and for me it is more than a few minutes , I think probably because of my past and the things I have subjected myself to.. I can tell you it is never a waste of time and I hope for my sake and yours I dont skimp.... Thank you Lord for a safe trip and the whisper goodnight I slept like a baby

Look at how Blessed we Are !!!!!!!!

Seeking safety with my father who promises to protect me. As I say that and think of those in Tuscon I choose to think of the people around me. Men who take the free gift of salvation message to the men in prison, The community that comes together to support a hurting family when tragedy strikes, or a member of the community is sick and needs help with medical bills etc. the guys who collect and sort cans for Kiwanis and do city wide clean up, clean the ditches, the woman who serve at the church providing snacks, making coffee, doing dishes, the sunday school teachers, the bulletin, the music, those who visit the elderly and the sick, the volunteer fire and rescue, the great 4th of July celebration and all its preperation, those who go help prepare food boxes for the hungry and support missions around the world and the list goes on, all in a little town in NW Iowa. There are so many servants with a heart for God who are here doing his will without their picture in the paper or a paycheck not for reward here on earth. WOW how fortunate we are to live in such a loving community

Sunday Sunday

What a great day the weather stinks but the service this morning was awesome.
Great Praise and worship and a Godly man sharing Gods word with us from the heart what could be better, then snacks and visiting, home resting up for the week ahead.
Still apprehensive of going for I am truly frightened when the roads are snow filled and Icey, Something about feeling like your in an 80,000 LB bomb going 65 miles per hour, especially when the steering wheel and brakes are in someone elses control. So we will just have to see what tomorrow brings.

Fear not for my God is with me I will just keep telling myself that.
May not be a whisper !!!!!!!!!!!!

Someday I will get it all right

I try and study and seek God and in an instant stumble and sin.

1 Peter 3:13 Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good ? But even
if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed."Do not fear what they fear; do not be frightened". But in your hearts set apart christ as Lord. Always ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience so that those who speak mailciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. It is better, if it is Gods will to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. For Christ died for our sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the spirit, through him also he went and preached to the spirits in prison who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built.

What kind of church do you attend ? Alive with Christ or dead ! You can change it !

What is the church

1. A hospital a place for the sick
2. A school a place to be taught the Word of God
3. A place for believers to gather together

This is just what I think.I believe the church is where its members can come for there hurts, emotional and physical, for healing.That every church should be teaching the Word of God which is found in the Bible and that each member should arrive prepared to be taught. Every church I have attended that was on fire for Jesus had a Pastor who preached scripture the true word of God each member arrived with there Bible ready and eager to be taught and where there was a time of Praise and Worship and a time of socializing. This has been my experience.

Where is Home ?

Upon returning home 14 days 22 states a lot of beautiful God sightings yet weary from the road.

God refused to be boxed inside a permanent dwelling. He chose a tent !!!!
Cool, Bob and I have found it hard to just settle in one place and now we find Jesus didnt want to be stuck in one place either God was A traveler and we feel maybe we arent so strange after all.

Isaiah 42:16 I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them. I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.

Listen carefully God often whispers !!!

What kind of reward are you seeking ?

It is sometimes irritating to watch people who only give of themselves when they are in public arenas always a crowd of onlookers to see all there good deeds.

Matthew 6:3-4 but when you give to the needy, do not let the left hand know what the right hand is doing. so that your giving may be in secret.Then your father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Matthew 23 2-7 The teachers of the law and the pharisees sit in moses seat. so you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.They tie up heavy loads and put them on mens shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.
Everything they do is done for men to see. They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long: they love to be greeted in the marketplaces and to have men call them Rabbi and the entire 23rd chapter
